The Leather Jacket

Here is everything you need to know about the Leather Jacket. The Leather Jacket is where functionality meets fashion. It is something that everyone appreciates. It is simple and clean yet versatile and haute.

At first, the Leather Jacket was released in the classic biker style and it was called the “Perfecto”. It was made for Harley Motorcycles. It’s original purpose was for bikers with the adjustable collar to allow bikers to get more or less air depending on the temperature.

But, in 1953, Marlon Brando (pictured above) wore a leather jacket in his debut of “The Wild Ones” and soon after it was adopted as a staple fashion piece. Then it was pushed by rockstars and popstars. We all know Michael Jackson for his red leather jacket.

People loved the idea of how raw the Biker Jacket was. People started customizing them to add a personal touch. The bassist from Sex Pistols, Sid Vicious (pictured below), was one of the first to add pins to his jacket.
